010355 USDA subsidizes Tyson poultry meat sale to Middle East

Washington - The U.S. Agriculture Department said it had accepted three bids from Tyson Foods Inc. for a subsidy on the sale of 640 tonnes of frozen poultry to Middle East countries.

The subsidy under the Export Enhancement Program, which helps exporters make sales to targeted nations, was $600 per tonne. The poultry is to be delivered March 16-June 1.
