051133 Foster Farms Poultry Workers on Strike Again in CA

November 19, 2005

Livingston, CA - Workers at the Foster Farms poultry plant in Livingston are on strike again. Several hundred of the plant's 23-hundred workers walked off the job yesterday.

This time Foster Farms is threatening to fire some of the workers, saying they're violating a law against "intermittent" strikes.

The strike is the third walkout in a month, and comes as contract talks remain stalled over worker pay.

The first strike this year started October 25th and lasted four days. The second started November Third and lasted two days.

A union official says the latest strike might last through tomorrow.
