November 3, 2004

Oak Brook, IL - From the creators of Happy Meal classics such as Finding Nemo and Toy Story 2, comes the next highly anticipated Happy Meal and theatrical event The Incredibles. A Disney presentation of a Pixar film, The Incredibles will make its big screen and McDonald's(R) Happy Meal debut on November 5, 2004, bringing the adventures of these soon-to-be beloved animated characters to life. McDonald's guests will receive one of eight action-packed figures based on characters from The Incredibles with the purchase of a Happy Meal, at participating restaurants nationwide, while supplies last.

"McDonald's is thrilled to bring the adventures of this movie to life in an incredible way," said Kathy Pyle, director of kids and family marketing, McDonald's. "Each Incredible Happy Meal figure, mimics the superhero skill of The Incredibles cast, allowing our guests to relive the big screen adventures of these suburban superheroes in their neighborhood McDonald's."

Part of the 25 Years of Happiness, year-long Happy Birthday Happy Meal celebration, The Incredibles Happy Meal event is just that -- Incredible! Featuring seven characters and one incredible car, each toy highlights the superhuman or super-car trait from the movie. The Incredible adventure will continue at McDonald's from November 5, 2004 - December 2, 2004.

According to Pyle, Disney/Pixar Happy Meal events such as Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc., Toy Story 2 and A Bugs Life, "mark some of the most popular Happy Meal events of all time." For 25 years, McDonald's has provided its Happy Meal guests with the day's hottest toy trends and their favorite food choices.

Young guests now have the opportunity to enjoy additional food choices with their Happy Meals including Apple Dippers (fresh, peeled apple slices) served with low fat caramel dipping sauce, and new beverage choices including 100% pure Minute Maid apple juice and low fat white and chocolate Milk Jugs, served in child friendly containers.

In addition to Happy Meal Choices, McDonald's will be piloting fun nutrition and physical activity tips on its Happy Meal packaging as part of its Balanced Active lifestyles commitment to children. In West Palm Beach, Florida, Columbus, Ohio and Western Washington, children will be able to read about the importance of physical activity and good nutrition. McDonald's partnered with the Children's Nutrition Research Center at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston to develop the tips.

The Incredibles Happy Meal event will be supported by national television developed featuring original animation from Pixar Studios and by Leo Burnett Co. Hispanic television advertising was created by DRM DDB, and POP and packaging by Frankel.
