031044 CO Cattlemen to Discuss Beef Source VerificationOctober 25, 2003Source verification of beef will be the focus of a panel discussion at the Colorado Cattlemen's Association and Colorado Cattlewomen's mid-winter conference. The discussion will take place Friday, Nov. 21, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Colorado Springs on the final day of the three-day conference. The experience and expertise of the panel will provide perspectives into identifying the origin and ownership of cattle and the management practices of cattle. After the conference CCA leadership will appoint a working group to develop direction and ideas for a U.S. beef traceability program. The conference starts Wednesday, Nov. 19.
