001017 Burger King Launches 99-Cent BK Cravers

October 2, 2000

Miami, FL - Craving delicious food that will satisfy the most discerning of tastes without breaking the bank? Beginning October 2nd, Burger King(r) restaurants will indulge every customers' craving with the new tasty menu items on the BK Cravers Menu for only 99 cents each, every day.

The items on the 99 cents BK Cravers Menu provide consumers with the option of having a delicious appetizer before their meal or creating their own "value" meal with a combination of 99 cents items. Drive-thru customers will especially appreciate the portability of each item - perfect for a quick snack in the car.

The menu features eight items, including flavorful new products: the BULL'S- EYE(r) BBQ Deluxe burger and Chicken Tenders(r) sandwich along with delicious Mozzarella Sticks and zesty Jalapeno Poppers(r). Favorites featured on the menu are five piece Chicken Tenders(r), Small Shake, Apple Pie, and Hershey's(r) Pie.

There is something on the 99 cents BK Cravers Menu to satisfy any craving. The Mozzarella Sticks are crunchy on the outside, filled with oozing melted cheese and served with a side of delicious marinara sauce for dipping. The spicy JALAPENO POPPERS(r) come with a cool Ranch dressing on the side.

"The launch of the 99 cents BK Cravers Menu is part of our ongoing commitment to provide the best tasting food at a great value to our customers," said Dana Frydman, senior director, Product Marketing for Burger King Corporation. "Our goal is to provide our customers with a variety of menu items and affordable snacking options."

The 99 cents BK Cravers Menu was tested in Baton Rouge, Seattle, New Orleans, Erie, Reno and Lafayette earlier this year. The launch will be supported through national television advertising, radio promotions and in-store point-of-purchase materials.

Burger King Corporation and its franchisees operate more than 11,210 restaurants in all 50 states and 57 countries and international territories around the world, with more than 92% of Burger King(r) restaurants owned and operated by independent franchisees.
