000215 McDonald's Launches the McEducator Tool Kit

New York - McDonald's announced two new major efforts to help high school students further their education and find work. The restaurant giant is giving “McEducator Tool Kits” to high school guidance counselors in parts of the south to help teach students the fine points of writing resumes and handling interviews. McDonald's is also starting a large scholarship program for eligible employees in parts of the south.

The “McEducator Tool Kits” were created after a new trend was discovered. Teenagers are turning to McDonald's to provide the skills needed to start a career.

McDonald's is also announcing a new scholarship program. One- thousand-dollar scholarships will be awarded to twenty-five eligible McDonald's employees working in parts of Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi and Missouri.
