991065 Rally's Offers “Official Burger of St. Louis Rams”

St. Louis, MO - Rally's Hamburgers announced a partnership with the St. Louis Rams, the number one ranked team in the National Football Conference (NFC) West. With a 5-0 record, St. Louis remains undefeated in its best season in 10 years.

Under the agreement, Rally's is the official sponsor of the Rams' regular season games with full marketing and radio support beginning this Sunday, October 24. In addition, Rally's new fully dressed Quarter-Pound Champ Burger is the “Official Hamburger of the St. Louis Rams” for the 1999 season.

The sponsorship deal also places Rally's logo on the 1999 Official Rams Team Picture, which includes a perforated coupon for redemption at participating Rally's restaurants. On December 26 -- “Game Day Give-a-Way” -- 66,000 team photo cards with Rally's coupons will be given away to ticket holders. The detachable coupon is good for Rally's new Quarter-Pound Champ Burger.

“The Rams and Rally's make an excellent team since many of Rally's customers are loyal Rams fans,” said Richard Turer, Rally's vice president of marketing. “We're excited about the opportunity of pairing our new Quarter- Pound Champ with such a talented and winning football team.”

Under the sponsorship deal, Rally's logo is featured on the stadium's Jumbotron screen on the main scoreboard for one full quarter of live action at every home game. In addition, Rally's logo appears on the Jumbotron screen on the main scoreboard for two instant replays.

The radio package defined under the deal begins this Sunday with 30-second spots on KSD-FM Radio, “The Voice of the Rams,” and KATZ-AM. The commercials will promote Rally's great-tasting burgers and fries.

St. Louis Rams vice president of marketing and sales, Phil Thomas said, “Just as fans are rallying around the Rams, we in-turn are excited to be partnering with Rally's Hamburgers for a winning season of great football and burgers. We look forward to a long-term relationship with Rally's.”

In August of 1999, Rally's Hamburgers, Inc. merged with Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc.. Checkers is now the largest double drive-thru restaurant chain in the United States. The company develops, produces, owns, operates and franchises quick-service double drive-thru restaurants under the names “Checkers” and “Rally's.” Checkers is headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, and is publicly traded on the Nasdaq stock market.
