990833 Thorn Apple Deal Set to Close

North Carolina - One of the world's largest beef and pork processors is expected to close a 120-million dollars deal to buy Thorn Apple Valley within the next few days.

South Dakota-based IBP Inc. will add three-thousand employees and five production plants if the deal goes through.

Thorn Apple Valley operates a meat processing plant in Holly Ridge, North Carolina which employs 400 people.
