Irvine, CA - Koo Koo Roo, Inc. a subsidiary of Prandium, Inc., announced the introduction of two new chicken and rice bowls targeted at the fast-casual and take-out dining market. The new “Southwestern Chicken Chop” and “Thai Chicken Chop” are being introduced on the heals of the successful roll out of Koo Koo Roo's “Chargrilled Chicken Chop.” The trio of products are specifically designed to deliver fresh quality, taste variety and excellent value to busy consumers desiring a convenient meal without compromise. Featuring generous, well-portioned ingredients, all three Chicken Chop bowls are available today at all Koo Koo Roo locations.

About the new Chicken Chop Bowls

“The new 'Southwestern Chicken Chop' was developed with the finest ingredients including a proprietary blend of herbs and spices, southwestern Chipolte Pepper sauce, black beans and the customer favorite saffron rice,” added Executive Chef, John P. Birdsall. Served with blue corn tortilla chips and fresh pico de gallo, the new chicken bowl features hand-cut skinless chicken breast, chargrilled and chopped, then placed on a bed of black beans and saffron rice.

“The new 'Thai Chicken Chop' was also developed with our skinless chicken breast seasoned with a special blend of herbs and spices, chopped and placed on a bed of saffron rice and our popular cucumber salad,” continued Chef Birdsall. “What is interesting with the culinary aspect of this new product is the combination of a distinctive taste accented with a flavorful peanut sauce.”

“Our original 'Chargrilled Chicken Chop' is a tasteful combination of skinless chicken breast seasoned with a unique blend of 21 herbs and spices, curry, and saffron, one of the most unique spices available. Feedback from guests about our proprietary mild curried mustard sauce recipe has been extremely positive,” concluded Chef Birdsall.
