Colorado Springs, CO - A Colorado Springs wildlife foundation has learned a lesson about fundraising dinners: don't have dead animals on the menu. A fund- raising dinner set for Saturday for the Helen Marie Wildlife Foundation has been scaled down to a cocktail reception because more than a dozen patrons complained about the menu. It offered a choice of chicken, beef or vegetarian entrees. The 25- to 35-dollar fund-raiser will feature former “Golden Girls” star Betty White, a well-known animal rights activist.
