980977 Minnesota Won't Stop Canadian Trucks

Austin, MN - Minnesota is refusing to join neighboring states in an effort to check paperwork on Canadian trucks carrying grain or livestock. South Dakota Governor Bill Janklow kicked off the campaign two weeks ago... and since then North Dakota, Montana and Idaho have joined in. But Minnesota Agriculture Commissioner Gene Hugoson says it's NOT the state's role to start a trade war. Hugoson says the state has asked the federal government for better enforcement of trade regulations at the Canadian border.
