980946 Subway Brings Back BBQ Beef Sub

September 19, 1998

Minneapolis - Local Subway Sandwich & Salad Shops are bringing back the BBQ Beef Sub.

The BBQ Beef Sub features hickory smoked beef in Lloyd's world-famous barbeque sauce. The sandwich features barbeque taste, without all the fat. In fact, the sandwich contains less than six grams of fat when made to order without cheese or mayonnaise. Many consumers may also recognize the Lloyd's brand as a line of quality products available through supermarkets.

The BBQ Beef Sub was an overwhelming success when introduced throughout the Midwest in 1997. Based upon this success the sandwich is being re-introduced to local consumers. The sandwich will also be available throughout the Midwest at participating Subway locations for a limited time.

Subway provides healthy alternatives to greasy burgers and deep fried foods. In addition to the popular BBQ Beef and the new Chicken Wraps, Subway features a full menu, including other low-fat sandwich and salad offerings, for people seeking fast food alternatives. To make ordering low fat items simple at Subway, consumers need only look for the "Running Man" logo on the menu. Each item with the "Running Man" logo contains less than six grams of fat.
