980844 14,667 Pounds Of Cooked Beef Are Recalled

Kalamazoo, MI - Hoekstra Meat Co. is recalling 14,667 pounds of cooked beef because of possible contamination caused by improper cooling, the Agriculture Department said Tuesday.

The products are sold in 8- and 10-pound vacuum-packed packages, the government said. It said the meats carry the Hoekstra, Spartan Supreme and Gordon Food Service brands. The products include corned beef brisket, top round, inside round and ribeye.

The Gordon Food and Spartan brand products were distributed across the Midwest.
