980841 Daryl Zgodzay Joins Food 4 Less as VP of Meat Operations

Los Angeles - Ralphs Grocery Company recently announced that it has named Daryl Zgodzay to the position of Vice President, Meat Operations for its Food 4 Less warehouse store division.

In this position, Zgodzay has overall responsibility for the 82-store chain's meat and seafood operations. He reports directly to Tim Mulhall, Group Vice President, Food 4 Less Perishables. Zgodzay replaces Mel Brown who recently left the company.

“Daryl's experience and track record as a leader in the field of meat and seafood marketing and merchandising will serve him well as Food 4 Less's new vice president of meat operations,” said Harold McIntire, President of Food 4 Less. “Food 4 Less is proud to have someone with Daryl's expertise leading our meat operations”.

Zgodzay, 35, joins Food 4 Less from Ralphs' Cala-Bell Division in Northern California where he served as Vice President of Meat and Service Deli/Bakery. Prior to that, he was Director of Corporate Meat Procurement for Alpha Beta.

Zgodzay holds a BS degree in business from Cal State Northridge. He is married with two children.

Food 4 Less is a division of Ralphs Grocery Company, Southern California's largest supermarket operator with 400 stores and an additional 65 in Northern California and the Midwest. The company is a subsidiary of Fred Meyer, Inc., one of the nation's five largest food and drug retailers with 800 stores in 11 western States and annual sales of $15 billion.
