ZURICH - Nestle SA declined comment on market talk that it sought to acquire U.S. meat processing company Thorn Apple Valley Inc.
"We do not comment on rumors," a Nestle spokesman said.
Thorn Apple Valley said last month it had retained investment bankers to help it explore alternatives for maximizing shareholder value, including a sale of the company.
