Manhattan, Kan - U.S. Premium Beef Ltd (USPB) said Friday its stock offering to raise capital to buy up to 50 percent of Farmland National Beef Packing Co has been successful.
USPB announced on July 31 that it had signed an agreement to buy 50 percent of the nation's fourth largest beef packer. The company said it expects to close the deal in the next 30 days.
USPB, which was formed in July 1996, is a cooperative of beef producers.
