971127 USDA Accepts IGI Compliance Program and Releases Vaccines for Sale

Buena, NJ - IGI, Inc. said the United States Department of Agriculture's "Stop Sale" order has been lifted for all requested poultry vaccine products made at the company's Vineland Laboratories.

Donald C. Randall, DVM, Director Inspection and Compliance, Center for Veterinary Biologics of the USDA, stated that Vineland Laboratories' new regulatory compliance program was validated during a recent USDA inspection, and he was pleased with the progress that was reported to him. Dr. Randall believes that Vineland Laboratories will be a positive contributor to the poultry industry in the future.

Separately, the company stated that it appreciated the cooperation and guidance that it received from Dr. Randall and Dr. Joan Arnoldi, Deputy Administrator, Veterinary Services, United States Department of Agriculture.
