GOLDEN, Colo - Capitalizing on the growing holiday take-out trend among American consumers, Boston Market is once again offering homestyle holiday banquets as well as rotisserie-roasted turkey breasts and whole and half honey-glazed hams for the holiday season.

Nationwide, the nearly 1200 Boston Market stores have begun taking orders by phone or at the store for the chilled, ready-to-heat banquets, turkey breasts and whole and half hams, and banquet-sized a la carte side dishes, including holiday classics such as made-from-scratch mashed potatoes with gravy, savory stuffing, and cranberry-walnut relish. Holiday cinnamon apple pies will also be sold at selected locations. Consumers are encouraged to order Boston Hearth Speciality Foods in advance to ensure availability during the holidays. Boston Market stores are franchised and operated by Boston Chicken, Inc.

Boston Hearth Speciality Foods are a convenient take-out alternative to what many consider the ultimate meal of the year. "Our research indicates that increasingly consumers recognize that having holiday meals prepared for them enables them to spend holiday time the way they really want to -- with their families and friends," said Ron Paul, president of Technomic, Inc., a Chicago food industry consulting company.

"The holiday take-out trend is being driven by busy people who want to maintain important, meaningful meal traditions and yet still have time to entertain their friends and family," said Saad Nadhir, co-chairman and chief executive officer of Boston Chicken, Inc. "Our customers tell us they're looking for convenient, high quality take-out holiday food just like they would make at home."

Boston Hearth turkey breasts and whole and half hams are also available a la carte. Boston Hearth Rotisserie Breast of Turkey is select, all-white-meat turkey breast, roasted in rotisserie ovens. Boston Market uses only select, lean hams slow-smoked over natural hardwoods and glazed with a blend of honey, cloves and cinnamon for its Boston Hearth Honey Glazed Ham. The bone has been removed for maximum consumer value and convenience. Recommended starting retail price for Boston Hearth whole turkey breasts averages about $6.49 per pound; for whole and half ham, $5.49 per pound.

Exclusively for the holidays, side dishes are available a la carte in a special 32-ounce banquet size, with a recommended retail price of $5.25 each. Beyond holiday standards like mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and cranberry- walnut relish, Boston Market offers many other side dishes that are perfect for a traditional holiday meal, including the herbed sweet corn, parmesan creamed spinach, and hot cinnamon apples.

Boston Hearth banquets, rotisserie turkeys and whole and hat hams are sold chilled and ready to heat with easy heating instructions provided.
