970918 Ruth's Chris Steak House Names William L. Hyde, President & CEO

METAIRIE, La. - Ruth's Chris Steak House, today announced the appointment of William L. Hyde, Jr., to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of the 60 unit upscale restaurant group. Mr. Hyde will assume the position currently held by the company's Chairperson and Founder, Ruth Fertel.

In making the announcement, Ms. Fertel stated, "Bill Hyde is a restaurant industry veteran who has proven himself to be a leader and motivator of people. We are pleased that he has accepted this challenging position." Ms. Fertel went on to state, "He is joining our team at a time when both domestic and international development is poised to accelerate. We believe in Bill's ability to take us to this next level."

Mr. Hyde comes to Ruth's Chris Steak House with more than 25 years of restaurant industry experience, most recently serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of Morton's Restaurant Group.

In accepting the position Mr. Hyde stated, "I am excited by Ruth's Chris Steak House's unlimited potential and the opportunity to work along side Ruth Fertel. Over the last thirty-two years, she has built a nationally recognized concept that is dedicated to quality in everything it does. I truly admire commitment and perseverance."

Established in 1965, Ruth's Chris Steak House is the largest, privately held, upscale steak house restaurant group in the world.
